G.M.I. ACQUIRES DIGITAL VISION'S COMPONENT BUSINESS

HONG KONG, July 9, 2007 ¨C G.M.I. Technology Inc. today announced the acquisition of Digital Vision Inc.'s (DVi) Consumer Electronics component and solutions design business. As part of the acquisition G.M.I. will assume key supplier and customer partnerships from DVi along with key staff. The transition between the two companies has started and is due to complete by September 2007. In the first quarter of 2007 DVi shipped over 3 million units of CE components, primarily HDD's and chipsets, all for the China CE market. This business will transfer to G.M.I. DVi will continue to operate focusing on the fast growing market for small form factor display modules for CE applications in China.

Commenting on the announcement, Lewis Lo, president of G.M.I., said, "We are very excited to add DVi's strong portfolio of CE solutions, long term customers, and qualified staff to the G.M.I. team. This new business complements G.M.I.'s current business extremely well and should accelerate our progress towards achieving our growth objectives, not only in mainland China but also in other markets. In addition to the solutions and large customer base we are acquiring, we are excited to add Hitachi GST (HDD's) and Actions Semiconductor (chipsets) to our supplier partner base."

Pete Andreyev, chairman of DVi, added, "We are very pleased to have reached this mutually beneficial agreement with G.M.I. With G.M.I.'s strong market presence and resources they will enable the CE business that DVi has established to grow to the next level. This will also enable DVi to focus on our strategic shift to become a leading provider of display modules to the fast growing China CE market. Lewis and I are confident that this agreement is a win for G.M.I. and D.V.I., for our valued partners, for our employees and investors, and for the Greater China CE market."
